Dishwasher Drainage Repair
An inch of standing water and a sour smell after every cycle — packed filter, kinked hose, tired pump. Draining silent by dinner.
Overview
Three clogs, one visit
The dishwasher finished every cycle sitting in dirty water. Diagnosis found a filter caked with glass and grease, a drain hose kinked behind the unit from a rushed install, and a drain pump running at half pressure from months of strain.
We cleared the sump by hand, rerouted and secured a new high-loop hose, and fitted an OEM pump. Then we ran two full cycles — fill, wash, drain, dry — and checked the cabinet floor bone-dry before sign-off.
- OEM drain pumpGenuine pump, sealed and clamped to factory spec.
- High-loop hoseRerouted kink-free so sink water can't flow back.
- Two-cycle proofSigned off only after wash, drain and dry all passed.
