Oven Heating Repair

Burnt on the right, raw on the left, display swearing 350°F — a drifting sensor and a half-dead element. Even bakes the same week.

Overview

Lying display, lazy element

Probe mapping told the real story: the cavity swung 75°F across the rack while the display held steady. The temperature sensor had drifted 40°F high, and the lower bake element had partially failed — glowing in patches instead of evenly.

We fitted an OEM element and sensor, recalibrated the control offset, then baked the proof: three probe points within 10°F for a full hour before sign-off.

  • OEM element & sensorGenuine parts, seated and calibrated to factory spec.
  • Control recalibrationOffset corrected so the display tells the truth.
  • Hour-long heat proofThree probes within 10°F for a full hour before sign-off.
